This isn't your Grandpa's croquet.
Come play the world’s first Miniature Croquet™ Course at Provo Beach Resort. Our custom-designed course will take you through California on a scenic adventure--from Calico Ghost Town, to Yosemite National Park through a giant redwood tree, then down the coast to Big Sur and the Monterrey Peninsula. You’ll know when you’ve reached the beach.
Curious how to play? Here are the rules:
- Play like regular croquet in most ways. For example: Pass through a wicket or hit another ball (once between each wicket) and get another hit.
- Get 1 point per white wicket and 4 points per yellow wicket. Other bonus points as posted. You may skip any wicket you want and forfeit the points.
- You become “poison” by hitting the poison post. When you are poison, hit another ball for 2 points, then drop it into the poison pot (play ends for that section for that player). If you are poison and go through a wicket, drop your ball in the poison pot (play ends for that section for you).
- Red section lines—if you cross one, you can’t go back. Play ends for you until everyone crosses the line. Your poison ends and you lose any extra turns. First ball to cross a red line gets 2 points, second gets 1 point.
- When there is only one player left in a section, that player gets one final turn. Rotate who goes first in each section following the color order on the poison post. All players start the next section at the red section line.
- One last thing—you may only swing the mallet between your feet.
